At Mental Wellness Today we choose to partner with people and organizations who share in our desire to help others on their journey of mental health recovery.
Bill MacPhee works as a mental health advocate to help those who struggle with schizophrenia, just as he once did. In addition to founding Magpie Media and producing SZ Magazine, Bill travels throughout North America to give inspirational talks about how he pulled himself from the depths of depression to become the successful businessman, husband and father he is today.
Bill is not only our founder, but he is widely acclaimed as a mental health recovery expert. He defines recovery as not wanting to be anyone other than who you are today! Visit Bill directly at billmacphee.ca to subscribe to his blog and interact with him on social media.
The Cottages on Mountain Creek
The Cottages on Mountain Creek is a not-for-profit that has been developed on the belief that mental illness encompasses the entire physical and mental well-being. Their approach to well-being is placed on a balance of diet and exercise, a wide variety of programming, evidence-based psychiatric treatment, integrated medical care, research and education. They service adults aged 18 and older living with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depression and OCD, as well as and other forms of mental illness. The Mission of The Cottages is to promote stabilization and recovery from the effects of mental illness through therapies geared toward thinking, behavior, relationships and the ability to maintain gainful employment.
We have partnered with Cottages to integrate Bill MacPhee’s “Bright Future Program” with their inpatient/outpatient programs.
